Day 26 - Red here, red there

Again there is some colour on the streets of London. Now don't get carried away, we are not talking about a revolution.It is nice to see it though!

Day 24/25 - When in doubt - boots

I keep going on about the weather but nothing will affect what we put on in the morning than the weather. Today in London we had snow showers.

Here is what I saw:

                                                                

 Stripes are coming.

 

 I loved this look, totally it's own.

   

However the number one item most women were wearing were boots - the higher, the better. 

Elegant too.

Day 23 - All the white things

After lamenting the dark shades I encounter so often here are some pictures from the other side of the grey spectrum.

I do not think I could wear these but I do think they are different, as personal style should be.

There seems to be a trend emerging - white boots, watch this space!!

  

Day 21/22 - A Dark Silhouette

It is really difficult to pull away from very dark tones and well, black. They are so prevalent, so safe and not very inspiring.

If I were a clothes designer looking to streets of London to infuse inspiration into my collection I feel there would be little to go on.
These are examples of good outfits, sleek silhouettes and everything works but it is all so dark.
I can't wait for spring in hope that it will bring new and exciting styles that I will be able to share.

Day 20 - Supermarket chic?

Today being International Women's Day I thought it may be interesting to visit a place that is made with women in mind - supermarket. 

With all it's bland, cheerless, globalised design and atmosphere I was pleasantly surprised to see fun and even chic style.

Day18/19 - Senior Winter Style

Observing people on the street is an interesting project.

I snap away whenever people pass by and later go through the photos looking for whatever emerges.

I have observed that senior citizens fall into two major categories when it comes to style

Those who have no interest in clothes further then being warm.

Those who are after being warm and stylish too.

 

I wonder if there is a point in our lives when we really loose interest in clothes other then for their functionality. If so, why? Does comfort become a priority? Are financial restrictions? Is it that the fashion industry loses interest in us when we reach a certain age? Maybe the answer is a mix of all these, maybe something else entirely.

                 

Day 17 - Men's winter fashion

Again today I am going for a single photo, this time it is men's street style. It looks a bit cheesy but I had nothing to do with that, I just snap.
I do not know much about men's fashion so I do not offer much comment but this seemed like an interesting fashion statement so, here goes!
